SNOW AND SKY SCULPTOR - Pierre Tessier

Curious, daring and not easily dissuaded, Pierre Tessier is an adventurous sculptor. His work seasonally reminds Quebec visitors and residents alike that creativity is immune to the deep freeze of winter.

Creating abstract images of record-breaking heights, he
and his team showcase unparalleled skill in snow and ice sculpture, in both local and international competitions. Pierre's large scale permanent pieces in wood, stone,
metal and bronze punctuate the landscape throughout Drummondville and Montreal, and at ESSARTS, the
sculpture park he recently founded in St. Pie De Guire, Quebec, Canada.

A self-taught aviator turned international sculpture symposium host, Pierre's dedicated pursuit to a command
of the English language have taken him from Finland to Paris, from Mexico to Sweden. His ambassadorial sojourns abroad have enabled him to communicate his vision, skill and generous sense of humour in both of Canada's official languages! A conscientious nurturer of artistic talent in others, Pierre has been particularly supportive of women artists, through times when such support was neither abundant nor readily forthcoming.

Arkangel Pierre carries a window, captured while re-fitting his antique house with traditional Quebecois windows. The prop is a fitting representation of his unique ability to influence -- through the window of his own vision -- an entire community that integrates and celebrates art as an essential part of life.
