ATTUNED ELEGANCE - Angela Leigh

The vibration that weaves through Angela's creative expression - in ballet, silk painting and interior design - is a natural love of movement and beauty.

Born in East Africa, she possesses an elegance and grace that pre-determined her career as a ballerina of great accomplishment. Following her studies in England, she found her way across the world. Angela was a founding member of National Ballet of Canada in the 1950's, in the company of Celia Franca and Betty Oliphant. She was also a founding member of York University's dance program, in Toronto.

Angela continued to dance well into her sixties, joining performances such as 'Dance Goes On' in Toronto, with Karen Kain and Danny Grossman.

Perpetually in motion, Angela Leigh is portrayed leaning into her next movement, on the stage of life's eternal dance!!

Oh wave
Why do you leap for joy
Knowing your existence will soon end?
Because I am consumed with love, the freedom of movement
and the pull of my emerging future.
